Work on site is making good progress while visitors start to enjoy the area. The back spans of the bridge have been installed and the top slab poured.

Main span, comprising the pre-poured concrete arch and stainless steelwork, has been successfully lifted into place using an enormous 1,200 tonne mobile crane!

The reinforcement of the of the arch has been installed and the concrete poured. The steel plates that create the deck soffit are also in place.

The two halves of the steelwork have been welded together, having encapsulated the area, and the formwork of the arch assembled.
