Bart Halaczek in Ulm, Germany with the Bundesstifung Baukultur

Associate Bart Halaczek spent several days this week in Ulm, Germany as part of the biennial Baukultur congress. The group of invited built environment experts gathered to discuss and debate the social, ecological, aesthetic and economic state of the built environment in Germany. The resulting recommendations will be collated into the 2020/21 Baukultur Report, which will then be presented to the Federal Cabinet and the German Bundestag.
As part of the congress, Bart gave a presentation on the recently-completed Kienlesbergbrücke, a 270m-long pedestrian and tram bridge. He was also interviewed by broadcaster Jörg Biesler on the topic of Democracy and 'process culture' for public spaces.
