Bart's Bridge Design Masterclass at LDE UTC

International Director Bart Halaczek spent an enjoyable afternoon at London Design & Engineering University Technical College, where he presented a bridge design masterclass to Year 12 Product Design students. They explored the topic of forces and stresses and investigated how they influenced the different typologies of bridges. This culminated in some hands-on experiments in form finding. The students were curious and engaged. Their questions offered a fresh perspective that reflected a view that put the user in the centre of the design, and discussed the values of bridges to our society. It was inspiring to teach!
