Industry recognition continues for Lake District crossing
22 September 2021
Head of Design Hector Beade Pereda was delighted to spend the evening in the company of colleagues and friends at the Offsite Awards ceremony last night, where he collected another award for New Pooley Bridge.
The Lake District crossing was named Infrastructure Project of the Year, the second year in a row that a Knight Architects bridge has taken the prize (following on from St Philips Footbridge in Bristol). The use of offsite construction was critical in the New Pooley Bridge project in order to minimise the time the village was without a road crossing and to avoid works over the River Eamont during the spawning season.
Congratulations to the entire design team!
