Luton Airport Gateway Bridge in place

This past weekend saw London Luton Airport's new Gateway Bridge installed. Designed in partnership with Arup, the 72m-span asymmetric structure was constructed offsite by Volker Fitzpatrick Kier and travelled down the A1081 dual carriageway, where it was lifted into its final position across Airport Way.

Once operational in 2021, the £225M Luton Dart project will transport travellers from Luton Airport Parkway station to the airport terminal in under four minutes.
