Miguel Escallon and FRP footbridge feature at eBridges 2021

Miguel Escallon is looking forward to presenting Knight Architects' innovative work on a parametric FRP footbridge for Network Rail at the all-digital Bridges conference later this month.

His two-part presentation, on 27 May at 11am, will explore the team’s approach to the design and fabrication of a composite FRP footbridge – a modular, adaptable system developed for Network Rail as a level-crossing replacement structure. The first half will discuss the novel project environment and workflow and how it challenged conventional procurement methodologies. The second half will focus on designing with user experience, aesthetics, functionality, materiality, cost, and structural performance all in mind.
