New Pooley Bridge opens to all creatures great and small!

Huge congratulations to Héctor Beade Pereda and Laura Langridge as their elegant replacement crossing for the community of Pooley Bridge was opened to both pedestrians and vehicles this weekend! Local farmer Luke Coulston had the honour of driving his flock of Swaledale sheep across the bridge to commemorate this momentous occasion.

We are so delighted to reach this important milestone and to have designed a bridge at the heart of this community which symbolises their resilience and aspirations. Our hopes are that the new bridge will help to boost the local economy and become a tourist attraction in its own right, situated as it is in the beautiful Lakeland landscape.
