New Pooley Bridge recognised as NIC Design Principles exemplar at BCI Awards
14 October 2021
We could not be more proud to take home the NIC Design Principles trophy at last night's British Construction Industry Awards!
The extraordinary New Pooley Bridge in Cumbria, chosen from the high-quality crop of projects shortlisted across all four infrastructure categories, was judged to have most closely addressed the National Infrastructure Commission’s (NIC) Design Group’s four key principles of climate, people, place and value.
These principles are firmly embedded into the approach we take to all of our projects: designing great infrastructure that serves communities, adds value year after year and helps to define an enduring sense of place, all whilst minimising the structure's environmental footprint.
We'd like to thank the entire design team for their collective efforts in realising this wonderful project.
