Planning permission granted for Lower Thames Crossing

Following approval yesterday by Secretary of State for Transport Heidi Alexander, the Lower Thames Crossing has received planning permission. As the most significant road project in a generation, the scheme will significantly improve network resilience connecting channel ports with the south-east, the midlands and the north as well as drive growth by tackling congestion at Dartford.

Supporting the Bouygues Travaux Publics and Murphy JV in the delivery of the Tunnels Package contract, Knight Architects is part of the expert design team of Arup Mott MacDonald and LDA Design. We are continuing to maximise the benefits and minimise the environmental impact of this much-needed scheme through design refinement, embedding new and emerging low carbon technologies and materials.
