Walking London's bridges
09 September 2019
Several members of the Knight Architects team laced up their hiking boots for the 25km-long Thames Bridges Trek on 7 September 2019 in aid of The Wickers Charity. They joined 2,000 walkers taking in unrivalled views of the capital as they crossed 16 bridges, starting on Putney Bridge and finishing at Tower Bridge.
We are delighted to have raised over £1,000 for The Wickers Charity, whose mission is to give young people a safe and positive space to interact and learn to help prevent them from entering a life of crime.
The charity is based near to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where Knight Architects designed seven bridges for the area in preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games. We are committed to supporting local charities close to our completed UK projects.
"Despite a fair few blisters between us all, we had a really enjoyable day walking the Thames and we are so pleased to have raised over £1000 for The Wickers Charity."
- Victoria Strauss, Knight Architects
