Our skills as designers and communicators created a positive dialogue with the local community.
We listened to their concerns and explained our approach, which helped them understand the project’s challenges and the reasons for decisions taken. This created a shared spirit of ownership towards the bridge’s design, increased trust, and allowed the different parties’ competing interests to be resolved.
That shift made all the difference, bypassing the risks of delay to or failure to receive planning consent. We’re now preparing the tender package of information, locking in quality and minimising future risk.
